[60s Blog] Thoughts after Visiting the Advancing "Kagurazaka Gateway City." The Town Where I Spent My Youth | Excellent Blogger Suzuki Kei-san

A wonderful blog that records the daily life of an official blogger for the monthly magazine "Suteki na Ano Hito." This time, Suzuki Kei wrote about her feelings when visiting a nostalgic town.
I visited the newly developed "Kagurazaka Gateway City."
For me, who spent several years of my youth in Kohane, this place is a very familiar town.
That's why, I couldn't help but stop in my tracks at the modern scenery before me.

This area has a revolutionary history as the first place in Japan where a railway ran over the sea.
It was later used as a vehicle depot for a long time, but is now being reborn as the "Gateway to the Future."

The Newmann Kohane, which opened last year, features a space where high-rise architecture enveloped in light and rich greenery that evokes the four seasons beautifully harmonize.

Just walking around the building, you can feel the rhythm of nature while in the city, and the time for shopping and dining flows smoothly.

That day, I met my daughter after work and stayed at the JW Marriott Hotel Tokyo.
The fashion of the day was a foreign letter pattern jacket with orange pants.

jacket: desigual
pants: so close
shoes: Diana
Wear a bold-patterned gown-like dress and enjoy a relaxed atmosphere.

One Piece: H&M
The guest rooms, lounges, pool... from any window, you can see the high-rise buildings, the passing railways, and the sparkling sea in the distance.

The nostalgic streets where I once lived.

As I gazed at the current scenery, I truly felt the speed of time's passage, thinking, "The city changes so much."
Once, Takahashi was a town with a commoner's touch and the scent of daily life. Now, it has evolved into a vibrant town where people, technology, and nature are gently connected.
I would like to quietly witness how this place, where nostalgia and novelty intersect, will weave its future story.

We propose everyday art that makes life more enjoyable by painting on daily items and furniture. We moved our home to Harajuku in our 60s, and we live here every day, inspired by the city and its culture. It would make us happy to share our favorite fashion, interior design, and walking around the city.
