The "Hanno Surprised Hina Matsuri 2026," which decorates the city of Hanno in Saitama Prefecture with a huge hina platform, began on the 20th. At the main venue, the Elmi Kounosu Shopping Mall in the city's Honmachi district, a hina platform shaped like a pyramid standing approximately 7 meters tall, the tallest in Japan, has been displayed. The exhibition runs until March 7.
The "Higashiyama Hina" festival, aimed at widely spreading the history and tradition of "Higashiyama Hina," has been held since 2005, and this is the 22nd edition. The hina display features 1,631 hina dolls arranged closely on 31 tiers. The event is open from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM.
The city's industrial tourism center "Hina no Sato," the "Hana to Ongaku no Mitsu" (House of Flowers and Music) in Kawasato, the agricultural products direct sales store "Pansy House," and the Cosmo Arena Fukiage are all satellite venues.
